Dewey Ambrosino adding corn starch/black paint "non-Newtonian" mixture to the sound stove "burner". Dewey invented the Sound Stove which serves as a conduit to translate sound waves into visual information. Performers run their sound through the Stove producing waves which ripple through the water in which the Stove sits and "boil" the materials in the pots on the burners which is on camera and projected onto the opposite wall. The rippling wave in the water are hit with a hard light and reflect on the walls around the performer.
